Learn more about the Enfield PPG Project Background and Outline.
Enfield Patient Participation Group Network is a group of volunteer patients, carers and GP practice staff who meet regularly to discuss and support the running of their GP practice.
We look at the services the practices offer, patient experience and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice. Our primary goal is that of making sure that the GP Practice puts the patient, and improving health, at the heart of everything it does.
What We Do
We are responsible for bringing together and fostering cooperation whilst sharing best practices between GP practices and Patients.
Our Challenges
We have an active PPG network and an elected PPG representative on the Governing Body. There are a number of local health challenges and inequalities which we are seeking to address in the borough.
Membership is open to anyone who is an active member of their Enfield Practice PPG.
People of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and those with health conditions and disabilities are encouraged to join. PPG members should, as far as possible, be representative of the practice population.
A list of all members will be kept by the chair and ICB coordinator.
Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) are generally made up of a group of volunteer patients, the practice manager and one or more of the GPs from a practice.
PPGs meet on a regular basis to discuss the services on offer, and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice.
How Do PPGs Work?
The beauty of PPGs is that there is no set way in which we work – the aims and work of each group entirely depends on local needs – but we all have the aim of making sure that practices put the patient, and improving health, at the heart of everything it does.
